Here is a good little news story I came across. "There’s no need to ask Jen Anesi her views on gun ownership — a glance will do". See rest of article at - http://TacticalTed.com/blog-page-5

I never saw my Dad without a gun in his entire life. He'd get up in the morning, get dressed and put a 1908 Colt in his waistband, Mexican style. He carried that from when he was 18 to when he passed away. Even when he was a cop and had his Highway Patrolman S&W in a hip holster, he still carried the .380 Mexican style on his left side.
When he passed away, a lot of the edges on that gun were no longer sharp, as the constant in and out had rounded them a bit over the 60+ years of carry.
He wasn't a fan of OC, and neither am I. I guess the nut doesn't fall too far from the tree.

When he refused, Herman said, school administrators called the local sheriff’s office for assistance. A Michigan law allows properly licensed gun owners to openly carry firearms inside school buildings. A Michigan politician is now working to change that law.
Good job dude...

My kids view firearms as an every day thing, not out of the ordinary at all. In fact, they think Dads that don't carry a firearm are 'odd'.

I guess spending time with my kids, hunting, camping, backpacking and eh gawd...target shooting makes me a bad dad? I guess the days at the malls, movies and general out and about makes me a bad dad? I guess choosing to live away from the pre-manufactured ticker tack life where we have coyotes, snakes and other critters makes me a bad dad?real good dads dont live, have, or bring kids where guns are needed.
That was either an ignorant statement or, a really bad attempt at being cheeky?

yeah, like you can pick and choose the times you need one. Which IS what tons of gun people "think". that's why they favor shotguns, rifles, etc. I can put a lot of holes in you while you run to get a longarm. Probably dozens of holes.
