So last week I went into Sportsmans and the only 9mm JHPs they had were some Federal Personal Defense. Nothing else. I then went to Walmart and aside from some Winchester White Box JHPs and some Remington green and yellow box, all they had was Hydra-Shoks and Winchester PDX1 124gr +P. I decided to go with that. Apparently it's a similar or the same bonded bullet as the Ranger SXTs. A little pricey, but I needed some.

Was in there again today and it was gone along with the Hydra-Shoks and there was not a single box of .223/5.56 at all.

So did I miss some run on ammo? Some purported shortage of 9mm JHPs? Or are people already stocking up in preparation of the election, either out of fear or hoping they can create supply problem to profit?

I will admit I've considered picking up a couple stripped lowers, just in case.

I got a e-mail from Graf's last week that said the were starting to see increased demand for ammo and reloading components. They said some distributors were already running low, so if you need ammo buy sooner rather than later.

Yep. Panic buying has reared its ugly head again. Some online retailers are posting shipping delays on their front page.

So are people scared of a 2nd term of Obama or gun ban signing Gov Romney?

Have no illusions.. This administration IS coming for your firearms rights. There is little to lose in his second term.
Stock up, stock up.
I read an article that in Texas they are having a hard time keeping "Assault" *snickers* weapons on the shelf.

*Anyone want to move to the Free Republic of Texas with me when the roof caves in?

All of our suppliers have told me about increased demand and decreasing supply. If ammo and firearm prices go up along with fuel prices, that's not going to help out the training industry.

Well it looks like this contract gig is going to work out and if all goes well I'll start actually getting paid on 3/19. I told the wifey last night I was going to start buying a little ammo every paycheck and wanted to build at least one more AR15 and possibly buy an AK before November. Just in case.

No BS.. And I stand by this statement *Looks over his shoulder*...
Any more freedom infringement I think we need to take an armed stroll to Washington. Keep it peaceful.. For now. Unless THEY decide to throw the first punch. But it's about time that we moved things along.. Stop begging for our liberty and start taking it.

I did have fun last time trading a few boxes of ammo for entire guns when it was scarce.

I didn't buy last time when it was ridiculous and I won't do it this time. I'll buy right up until the point it gets stupid and then wait for people having to pay bills on the $500 AR15 they spent $1500 on.

We are our own worst enemy.

I want to start collecting parts for a 10.5" upper and another lower. Guess I better really start schmoozing the wife.
