What is a good scope for a 10/22 for around $150?

Take a look at some of the lower end Vortex scopes as well as Primary Arms. I have heard good things about Vortex, but never owned one. I have owned several PA scopes and love them.

I was looking at Vortex scopes but curious if there is something else. Which magnification is best or preferred for most for a 10/22?

I used a 4-14x and 3-9x on a .22 bolt before.

I had a 4-16x PA on an 18" AR15 and liked it. Downside it was heavy. Not a big deal on an AR15, but not sure its something you want on a 10/22.

Kevin probably had some good input. He has a lot of experience with .22s and scopes for them.

The highest magnification I've ever used on a .22LR rifle was also 4X, same as Brian. I don't think there's any need for more than that for a rifle in that caliber.
