In case anyone missed it, there is a new shooting range being built off the 260 at Cherry Road, across from the Yavapai County Jail and Court Complex between Camp Verde and Cottonwood. When finished lelater this winter the Copper Star Indoor Shooting Range will include a 25 yard pistol range, a 50 yard archery range and a 100 yard rifle range, all enclosed within an 18,000 sq ft air conditioned building. Yes that's right, a 100 yard indoor range, the only one in the state.

SGC/Peoria finally broke ground on their new facility, they had to wait for the city to get the access road in first. 58,000 sq ft, 56 shooting lanes including 12 100 yard lanes. I'll have to dig up the artist rendition of the new facility and post it, it's impressive to say the least.

I was talking to an employee at the retail store and he was mentioning the 100 yard lanes will be equipped with video cameras at the end of the lane and monitors in the bay so you don't have to roll the target back in to check your shots. I thought that was cool.

Copper Star Indoor Shooting Range is going to be awesome! State-of-the-art shooting lanes, top-notch gear, and an excellent staff.

Oh, and we'll be doing the firearms and self-defense instruction there. Hooray for Independence Training! :D

Thanks Drew - we continue to grow thanks to the word-of-mouth advertising provided by our students! Have you checked out our new website yet? (thanks Brian!) Lots of additional pictures, testimonials, and full course reviews, plus the whole thing just looks much cleaner.

Looks like it's going to be a great facility.
I use SGC in the summer due to the heat. You guys "up there" can use it in the winter due to the cold and snow. :p

No course required to renew. Just send in the paperwork and a money order for the renewal fee.

That being said, so many laws have changed in the last 5 years since you got your CCW that I highly recommend taking a refresher course.

That's my thinking because I'm sure that I've missed a couple of the newer changes and one can never have enough training.
