Anyone familiar with fishing Lake Pleasant?

Went out there last weekend, fish finder showed a lot, however, unable to get anything.

Anyone have any hints or tricks? We would like to pull some bass out, so let me know if you have any insight.

Work the points, shallow to deep water, watch for shad, while this time of year they may not school like normal. backs of coves, still pretty cool, if no action, work into deeper water where cuts come off bank, work it slow, May again have to go deep,
Been awhile since I fished pleasant, crappie should be hitting this time of year also.
yep, north end of lake was always my normal spots. and up the humbug arm.

Thanks RJ, we hit one of the north coves and was fishing at about 40 to 50 feet...probably just need to keep working it. A
Water is cold so I imagine they are not real aggressive.

Save your money, go to Alaska and fish the Kenai, Skiliak Lake, Cook's Bay and Wolverine Creek. You will never be the same.

A friend of mine just came back yesterday from fishing at Lake Pleasant, he caught one two pound striper the entire day. Water temp is 48 degrees, the fish will be fairly deep this time of year, for bass the best time will be in a few months when they start spawning.

January thru early march is the toughest fishing one can have, might have to set up some lights in the open coves and bring in some shad, then maybe drop some goodies for the strippers, rumor is even the strippers are slim to nary not a one, and they are skinny, they probably have pretty well gone thru the available food right now.
Come march it will pick up, back up to shallow water say 20-30 ft, gotta work it slow, and change it up, try some cranks across points, that drift out into deeper water, start shallow and work to deep, do a mid diver, then hit a couple deep lures to work it.
ONce you figure the pattern, it will all fall into place.

Rule of thumb, don't fish during a full moon except at nite, even then it'll be rough, but in between you just might get luckyu.

You left out my favorite, which I've pulled a lot of fish out of over the years.

Montana Creek. I started fishing there when I was around 7 or 8 years old. It's actually a fairly large river.
