Howdy all. I'm looking for a comfortable, OWB holster and belt that I'd be carrying a S&W M&P 45 compact in. On the Smith and Wesson forum a lot of members there speak very highly of LoboGunleather.com. I wondered if any of you here had heard of this holster maker and/or had bought his products, and if so, what were your impressions? His prices on his website are very reasonable and the pics sure look tempting! I'm about to take the plunge- anybody have any input? Thank you, Bill

Haven't heard of them, but I only have good things to say about Rocky at Pure Kustom. http://www.purekustomholsters.com/

The only leather holster I have ever used is by Galco. I found it to be very comfortable and durable. Galco is also an Arizona based company and I try to support our locals first.

Brice and John, thanks for your replies. Brice, I've noticed Rocky's stuff before and it's sure pretty, and John, I hear ya about keeping our $$ in Az.

I also try and support local companies first, and with the current political climate, it's all the more important.

However, I bought a Galco leather holster for my P220 a couple of months ago and it was too small. Even the guy in the Pistol Parlor couldn't figure out why as the package clearly stated it would. I asked if he had another Galco as that one was probably improperly marked, but he said no and produced a Tagua brand holster which fit perfectly.

I'd never heard of them before, but the quality looks very good. I've been wearing it around the house and to the range to break it in.

Larry, thanks for reminding me about Tagua. I've seen them on the wall at AJI, but only in passing. I might oughta give them a longer look.

They also have them at Pistol Parlor Bill.

Heck, all the more reason to go in and say "hey" to Marilyn and Clyde, as if I "need" a reason to stop in at the Pistol Parlour- It's been one of my favorite gun shops for well over 30 years. [oops, showing my age there!] Thanks, Larry

Yeah, I always get treated like I'm a part owner of Pistol Parlor and I don't know why. I guess that's just the way they are.
