Happy Sunday to everyone, finally got out with my guns and camera gear to do some more night time muzzle flash ammo testing. Many thanks to Rizzo for providing most of the ammo for this round and also for not showing up at my door to beat me up for taking so long. Those Remingtons really light up your life don't they, especially in a short barreled gun.

Yea they do! I'm happy that most self defense marketed rounds do well but I wouldn't even consider Golden Sabers that's for sure.

Actually, I didn't give you any Golden Sabers, but I should have. They are some of the best when it comes to flash suppression, second only to Winchester NATO 124gr FMJ (I also should have given you some of those).

The Remington rounds that you fired were bulk pack factory Remington JHP rounds, nothing special. They are a fire-breathing dragon, which I why I wanted you to shoot them - basically makes everything else look amazing!

Yeah I'm getting tests one and two mixed up, the golden sabers don't flash a lot but in my 1911 at least, they send out streamers. You won't lose your night vision but it was distracting. In test one I tested the NATO offering, pretty surprising how minimally they flash. Next round I'm looking at trying some of the exotic rounds like glaser and that new stuff out that shoots light for caliber bullets at a million mph. I'm not interested in using them for defense but I'm curious anyway.

There's a shop here locally that sells them, but they have no experience with shooting them.

Yes! Lol I'd like to do some muzzle flash, accuracy, function, and drywall tests on them. Unbiased of course but at the same time I'm thinking the results might be less than stellar. So far I've not come across any locally and shipping prices online make me think twice.

Anytime Glen, thanks for the shout out! I stopped by a local gun store and all they had in that liberty ammo was 40 cal. Between the two of us we'll find it sooner or later.
